I don’t know for sure what that phrase means, but I believe it has positive connotations. 
This post is an aside for all my blogger friends (and aspiring bloggers as well).
When it comes to blogging well, here’s my advice:
- Use WordPress
- Get your own domain
- Host it yourself. Don’t use one of WordPress’s free hosting accounts – very limited and much less cool. If you don’t want the hassle, contact me. I can rent you some space.
- Use Standard Theme. This is not an option.

You don’t have to be a web designer to use Standard Theme. Their back-end makes it incredibly simple to build your own blog, and it will look as if you knew what you were doing. You don’t have to screw around with code optimizations, endless WP plugins and widgets, or any of the rest. Standard Theme has all this awesomeness built right in!
